Cluster member Dr. Ken Chou and postdoctoral fellow Dr. Qian Liu where published in Nature Communications for their work using super-resolution microscopy to reveal secrets of the deadly Nipah virus. Their discovery suggests that the assembly of some highly infectious enveloped viruses may be simpler and more rapid than previously envisioned. Their discovery allows scientists to develop more effective vaccines and rule out many approaches to fighting enveloped viruses.
