BMIAI Hackathon planned for November 3rd to 4th

You are cordially invited to the first Hackathon event hosted by the Biomedical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (BMIAI) research cluster on November 3-4. This event will bring together students interested in exploring computer science in the context of biomedical applications is an increasingly hot topic. Students will be given two challenges using different data sets and encouraged to form small teams (or work alone) to generate a solution on their own computers. Catering will be provided on both days of the event, with students asked to arrive by 10am on Saturday 3 November and depart the building by 6pm. Location: 2020/2030, Fred Kaiser Building, 2332 Main Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z4 The event is coordinated by the BMIA cluster, funded and supported by the Vice President of Research and Innovation’s Office as well as the Institute of Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS). On Sunday at 4pm, students will present their solutions for a top prize of $500! Second prize ($300) and two third prizes ($100 each) are also available. Important!
