Shekoofeh Azizi receives Governor General’s Gold Medal

Dr. Abolmaesumi's student, Dr. Shekoofeh Azizi has received UBC’s Governor General’s Gold Medal for 2018. The medal is awarded to the student who has achieved the most outstanding academic record as a doctoral student.

"Being the recipient of Governor General's Gold Medal is all about finding the harmony and mastering the chaos inside and around me,” says Azizi. “This humbling experience is a reminder that there are no limits to dreams and what you can accomplish.”

Azizi will be presented with the medal during the 2019 Spring Convocation.
